Logger 2020
With illuminated display
For further information, see the product homepage.
Logger 2020 is a small versatile logger that automatically and at frequent intervals can read various measurment sensors and send the readings to either a PC or the Web site E-logger.se, where the data is stored and displayed in tables, graphs and reports.
Logging to PC
If data is to be stored on a PC, install the included Loggersoft and connect Logger 2020 to an available serial port, if your computer's does not have a serial port, a USB/serial adapter is required. Your computer must always be on for the logging to work and data to be stored.
Logging to web service e-logger.se
If you choose to run Logger 2020 against the website e-logger.se, connected Logger 2020 with an ethernet or our wireless access point, to a broadband router connected to your broadband outlet.
Data is sent automatically to the website E-logger, no computer need to be running for logging and measurement data is always accessible via a web browser.
The logger can also operate completely independent and you can see all the readings on the display (but no data is stored), to name the sensors , however, the logger (temporarily) need to be connected either to a PC or the web service. Standalone operation may be relevant eg for those who buy SunLogger 2020 solely to control a solar power plant, but are not interested in displaying data in their PCs or on the web.
When in operation, the web service can handle 2020 Logger even if the internet connection is down for a limited time, measured values are stored in Logger 2020:s internal memory and then sent, when internet connection is available again.
When in online mode, Logger 2020 always displays the correct time and date on the logger display. When operating connected to a PC, no data is saved if the communication ends (such as the computer is turned off).
Skilled, but affordable!
Logger 2020 can handle up to 50 measured objects. It can measure (max 48) temperatures and 2 electricity meters without connecting any expansion modules, with expansion modules, the logger can also measure flow, humidity, pulses (eg one or several meters beyond the two that can be logged directly on the Logger 2020's pulse inputs ), operational status and power output.
Read more about the line of sensors, modules and accessories in "ACCESSORIES" in the menu on the left, more accessories are beeing developed, so please check in here occasionally to see our selection of accessories.
The temperature sensors used are Dallas 1-wire sensors, they can operate in parallel in a single long loop for minimal wiring.
Logging of electricity consumption
Electricity meters are connected to specific inputs on the logger, it can be done in two ways, either with a twin conductor connected to a pulse output terminal on the electricity meter (if available), or with an optical sensor that detects the LED on the electricity meter that flashes to the energy consumption, the latter can give better accuracy but can also be sensitive to interference from daylight. Logger 2020 is powered by the included 12V power supply and consumes less than 3W (max approx. 26 kWh/year).
