Logger 2020 is a small versatile logger that automatically and at frequent intervals can read various sensors (temperature, humidity, flow, electricity meter, heat meters etc.) and send readings to both a PC and/or to the website E-logger where the data is stored and displayed in varius ways.

The delivery includes:
■ Logger
■ Power supply 12V
■ CD-ROM with software

Logging to PC
When data is is to be stored/viewed on a PC, install the supplied LoggerSoft and connect Logger 2020 via a network cable to your router. Your computer must always be on in order for data to be saved.
LoggerSoft can present all connected sensors in tables and graphs (any number), images from tables and graphs can be saved to disk, and the provided FTP program can be used to automatically uploaded images to your own website. LoggerSoft offers, in the present situation, no more advanced features, we refer clients who want more advanced features to the Web service e-logger (see below).

Using the web service E-logger.se

If you choose to use the site e-logger for storage and display of data, connect Logger 2020 to your router using a network cable, or a wireless access point.
(Logging via mobile broadband works well, requires a mobile broadband router)
Data is automatically sent to the Web site E-logger, no computer need to be running for logging data and aggregate data is always accessible via a web browser, either a PC or via your mobile phone.

Advanced Features

The Web service e-logger offers a wide range of possibilities beyond the one LoggerSoft offer, some examples are shown below:
■ System Image: DEMO
■ Reports electricity: DEMO
■ Correlation Graphs: DEMO
■ Mould risk Graphs: DEMO

Calculated channels
Effect of two temperature channels and constant - used for example to calculate the output power a heat pump, boiler or solar heating system can provide.
■ Effect of two temperature channels and flow meters - same as above when flow meter is available.
■ Power factor (COP) of the estimated impact of the above and electricity meters measured power - typically used to calculate the efficiency of a heat pump is, how much power it provides in relation to the input power.
■ Steam content from temperature and humidity. Moisture contribution can be calculated by adding 2 x calculated channels for steam content in the estimated channel difference.
■ U-value of the power / ((indoor temperature, outdoor temperature) * area)
■ Setpoint after the outdoor temperature, calculated according ramp_start + (outdoor ramp_start) * slope. Used to see how well a plant follows its control curve.
■ Difference between up to 4 channels of channel1-channel2-channel3-channel4. A calculated channel of this type is automatically created for electricity on channels of total electricity and electric heat are defined.
■ Total of up to 4 channels of channel1 channel2 + + + channel3 channel4.
■ Percent - the ratio of two channels as channel1/channel2 * 100.

From e-logger.se you can also receive alerts via email or SMS.

Skilled despite low price!

Logger 2020 can handle up to 50 sensors. It can measure (max 48) temperatures, and 2 electricity meters without connecting any expansion modules, with expansion modules attached, one can also measure flow, humidity, pulses (eg one or more electric meters beyond the two that can be connected directly onto Logger 2020's pulse input terminals), status and effects.

The sensors / modules that are available today, you can read more about in the menu selection "Loggertillbehör" in the menu on the left, more accessories are added now and then, so please check in here occasionally to see our selection of accessories.
As temperature sensors, Dallas 1-wire sensors are used, they can be connected in parallel in a single long loop for minimal wiring.

Logging of electricity consumption

Electricity meters are connected to specific inputs on the logger, it can be done in two ways, either with a two-wire cable to the pulse output of the meter if available (must be done by an electrician), or with an optical sensor that detects the LED on the meter which flashes in accordance with energy consumtion, the latter can provide greater accuracy, but may also be susceptible to interference from light. Logger 2020 is powered by the included 12V power adapter, and consumes less than 3W (max. approx. 26 kWh / year).
